Moments of Connection
by James E. Snyder, Jr.
Ever:
Sat outside, take in the beauty of the environment in your yard, and have a
honey bee come by, kiss your lips, and continue on its merry way . . . or
Have a butterfly flutter into view, land here and there, then stop suddenly
in front of you, slowly spread its beautiful wings of color and wait for
your gasp of pleasure before taking flight again . . . or
Have the pleasure of watching dragonflies dance in the air, see one land and
sun itself while the smallest one comes to land on your finger for a moment
or two of connection . . . or
Be at your childs football game, hear a cry above, look up and see the
leading falcon of a pair looking at you as they pass over . . . or
Be driving home in the evening on a dimly lit street thinking youre alone
and suddenly there is a great coyote in the road that makes direct eye
contact with you as you slowly drive by . . . or
Be stopped at an intersection wondering which way to turn and a bird lands
on your hood, looks at you, preens a little, looks at you again and takes
off in line with one of the streetsjust as the light turns green . . . or
Be mowing a large yard, having a good time but thinking its a little still
and hot when suddenly a light breeze starts, a cloud covers the sun, and a
very light rain cools you off . . . or
Listen to the peals of joy coming from the children in the neighborhood,
even adults at times, as they play . . . or
Turn to see a loved one's face and see the G?
What other things might we notice when we choose to be still, experience the
wonder and find gratitude?
May you be blessed with experiencing the miracles of the God source every
moment of your life!
Thank you for being such a wonderful manifestation
